Viva la Vida. Live Life

Powered by Blogger.
Haven't been blogging for the past few weeks because many things have changed. Sometimes it's simply because I don't have the time - wanting to chill whenever I have the chance to do so, or that I completely forgot about the existence of this blog.

Other times it's the circumstances that made me rethink whenever I wanted to voice myself on a social platform - given the nature of my job and professionality that I am trying to maintain, I have to filter out what to say and what not to say. It's not that I badmouth anyone on social media, it's just that some people might not want their privacy disclosed on other people's social medias. Nevertheless, I'll still find some time to blog occasionally! One thing for you to know is that I thoroughly enjoy my job so far - colleagues, boss, job nature, etc., :) and I'm really glad I did! Many people have told me that it's really rare to find a job that you like. And also, I'm not sure if I've grown into the mad traffic jams of Jakarta. Stopped complaining too much knowing that I can't do nothing about it. Haha

All seriousness aside, something I really want to rave about!! The Nachos from The Canteen which is just too amazing!! The dipping sauce in the middle is like the holy grail of all sauces, Rini and I both agree on this! Recommended to give this one a try whenever you pop by!

And also 5 songs that I'm totally hooked onto recently:

1) Lean On - Major Lazer ft. MØ & DJ Snake
"Blow a kiss, Fire a gun, all we need is someone to lean on."

2) Headlights - Robin Schulz ft. Ilsey

3) Four Five Seconds - Rihanna, Kanye West, Paul McCartney

4) Five More Hours - Chris Brown, Deorro

5) Where Are Ü Now - Skrillex and Jack  Ü with Justin Bieber

P.S: Skrillex's Recess is just too dope! Heard it from a couple years back and still enjoyed it till now.

Till then, hope all of you are doing great!

Last week, my family and I headed back for Singapore to meet the contractor to renovate our place to sell, as well as pack everything else to bring back to Indonesia.

Threw away heck loads of stuff and boxed loads of them. Also gave away some of my new stuff which I couldn't bring back. Really didn't expect so much of junk for the four of us - shoes, clothes, lecture notes, books, products, tools, kitchenware, etc etc! Took quite a few days to finally clear off the huge mess. Mine ended up to be a few luggages and a couple of boxes worth of "treasure" (not including my parents' and Christine's. Be reminded that I already went back in January to bring some back!!). The 4 of us brought a total of 130 kg back and still had a couple of boxes left there. Woes of living overseas for 4 years and moving back..

Goodbye Lecture notes :')

Anywhos, I'm back in Indonesia already and I'll be starting work somewhere else next Monday! Got to get used to waking up even earlier!! Work with dad starts at 9 and work there starts 8.30 and is even further away from home. #ohwells #workhardplayhard

The rest of my family headed back on Friday and I requested to stay longer until Sunday (Wanna hang out with more people cause it will be my last "holiday" before the other work starts). Wish I could stay even longer until Prom but then still got lots of stuff to settle, and techinically still working for dad. So yeah, till Convocation on July 31st then, hopefuly could come back a little earlier for Ci Z and Ko M's wedding! *fingers crossed*

Did lots of fun things and met lots of people during the week in Singapore. Went cafe hopping, walked like mad cross mrt stations, korean barbeque, lots of dancing on the streets, and visited NTU for the first time in 5 months. For my last full day in Singapore, I wanted to do something I cannot do in Indonesia, which was either USS or Adventure Cove (some friends suggested going to some beautiful island or Malaysia but we didn't end up going).

After having asked several people and being turned down, finally got a "Yuk USS besok" from S the day before after mentioning it. Yay. Jio-ed quite a lot of people and turned out only 4 of us could make it. So finally visited Universal Studios Singapore again after 2 years!!

Super "YOLO" trip given that MF haven't prepared for his FYP Presentation on Monday and A decided to MC (she has work on Saturday) just to go to USS #worthit.

Bee-doo Bee-doooooooooo

Bubbles-popping with A once we entered the park. And of course, snap chat all the way. :P

Here's to never growing up!

Sort of empty park because we came early!

Chionged to Mummy ride for our first ride of the day! Mummy ride to start and end the trip. Queued for only 5 minutes when the park was closing. So sad that the most thrilling Blue and Red Ride was still under renovation when we went :( Boooo. Remember spamming the rides 7 times when I went there with Feb two years ago.

Wefie in the "most exciting" Elmo ride ever. lol

$4 Churros. Everything in USS is overpriced.

Super hot day calls for an overpriced Ice cream Sorbet.

Waterworld! Don't think it's the same as I watched 2 years back.

And Sesame Street! When I grow up~ lalala ♡

Watched quite a lot of shows that day just to run away from the heat.

Far Far Away!

Rode the "Dragon Ride" twice that day. It wasn't the most thrilling ride but it was heck yeah the most hilarious ride. Really LOLed during and after the ride. *internal joke*.

Tried the water ride at Jurassic Park as well! The ride was closed temporarily for maintainence and we decided to wait outside the ride till it opens. Turns out it opened 10 minutes after waiting! (Many people waited too). We didn't place our bags in the lockers or buy any ponchos because we were squeezing through the crazy rush of people and prevented ourselves from a stampede. Ended up getting wet. #poorstefan. There was a drying pod outside the ride to dry ourselves up but it was $5 a go. Our conclusion was, USS is a money sucking theme park. Lol lol. But of course, our clothes dried up in 10 minutes due to the intense heat and sunny day that day.

Introducing the new ride! Puss in Boots!

Verdict? No thrill at all for this ride...Pretty disappointed and ended up talking about machinery of this ride, some hydraulic thing (Don't ask me I'm not the one with Mechanical engineering degree) Haha. Luckily we didn't queue that long (30 mins). Backstory for this ride. We almost gave up queueing for this ride multiple times because each time we passed by, waiting time was all above 60 minutes. Ended up going on this ride before we left the park.

Overall, it was a super fun day with multiple different internal jokes. Gonna miss this bunch a lot, meaning we gotta plan more "Yolo" trip like this in the future. Genting maybe? ;)

Last group photo before we left! (not a double date kay. haha)

Till next time! :)
