Padma Hotel Bandung
Address: Jl. Ranca Bentang 56-58 Ciumbuleuit, Bandung 40142, Indonesia
Because the city is located approximately 768m above sea level, Bandung has a cooler temperature than most other parts of Indonesia. The weather when we reached there was breezy and soothing, making the whole trip even more relaxing than it already is.
Have I mentioned how fresh and sweet their fruits were? We even encountered super sweet buah salak and passion fruit on our mere 2 breakfasts! So good! The hotel breakfast was really unlike any other. They replenished their fruits before it started running out - even if it meant just 10 minutes before their breakfast closing time. Their service was amazing, and the breakfast view was great. Really loved how their servers and everyone else in the breakfast section greeted us with a sincere smile and engaged random small talks with us. It was such a lovely experience!

So my family and I, together with 50 other family friends went to Bandung last weekend. The main purpose of this trip was to experience this oh-so-amazing hotel- it is currently #1 on tripadvisor for hotels in Bandung. Several of my parents' friends went there before and told us that it was a very interesting hotel - the highest level was their lobby, and the lowest level of the building was their top most floor. So after hearing about the famous Padma Hotel, we proceeded to arrange a 3 days 2 nights trip to Bandung.
For anyone unfamiliar to Indonesia, Bandung is a few hours car ride from Jakarta.

Their buffet-styled breakfast was PHE-NO-MENAL! They offer a large variety of different local and western style delicacy. Some of them was served in a "gerobak" (indonesian cart), making it a very interesting dining experience.
There are many attractive facilities to the hotel such as Yoga classes on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, a pretty decent Fitness Centre, Wall Climbing, Flying Fox, and many other more . There is also a decent massage place (ZEN Family Spa & Reflexology) located in the hotel. Which is so stinkin' amazing! A hotel with Flying Fox??! Even though I haven't tried it out, I cannot deny that I am EXTREMELY impressed!
I shared a room with Christine. Our room was located on the 8th floor of the hotel, which was basically the ground floor (lowest floor). The room was fairly spaced and the bathroom was the see-through glass kind, making the room appear more spacious. We could see the shower and bath tub from our beds. lol. But of course, we pulled the blinds down when taking a shower. haha
There was a balcony to our room and the lush greeneries outside of it was very eye-soothing. But often times, we would see a gardener tending to the plants.

There was also free tea-time buffet between 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm in the hotel. It was a pretty generous spread, with different types of finger foods - peanuts, banana bread, etc. There was also Kelelepon, a traditional Javanese rice cake filled with oozing brown sugar amongst the buffet spread, and it was sooooo soo good! We went in for more than three servings. nom nom.

The picture wasn't enhanced at all. The colour combination is so beautiful.
Sup. Sunglasses up.
There was a lot of "professional" photography going on between me and my sister beside the pool. I mean come on, look how photogenic each picture looks.

I absolutely recommend you all to give this hotel a try. It may not be a very large hotel, but it definitely recharged me through the weekend! :)

Wow I can't believe that there is such a nice hotel there. I searched the hotel with Reservation Counter and it is quite expensive. But look at this doughnut! The service there must be amazing.
