Starting the post with the photo of a cute little derpy zebra.
So I went to Taman Safari in Cisarua on Saturday. And because I haven't been to the Taman Safari/Safari Park for over 10 years, I was pretty excited when I knew that we were going!
G picked Christine and I up at approximately 7:40 a.m and we went to go find M, who parked his car in some place in Pluit. Left the area at about 8 a.m for the highway and arrived in Bogor at approximately 9 a.m to meet up with C, R, and I - first time for me to meet them and they were really friendly :)
C, R, and I left their cars in Bogor and 7 of us continued the day in one car. Had Nasi Liwet for breakfast in Bogor before heading to Taman Safari.
Bought Bogor Peanuts for the car ride. The extra huge peanuts fascinated us.
Taman Safari is approximately 80 km away from Jakarta and we arrived there at around half past 12. Here's a short excerpt from wikipedia on the beautiful park if you are interested. :)
Visitors are encouraged to drive through the park and it is possible to come within touching distance of most of the animals. Six wildlife shows are offered, including a Wild West Show, Dolphin Show, and Elephant Show.
The park also features a small petting zoo built to resemble the Taj Mahal. For a small fee, guests can take photographs with baby lions, tigers, orangutans, and leopards.
Hippo waiting for his carrots
We bought 40 bundles (4-5 carrots in each bunch) of carrots by the foot of the Park. Tips for buying carrots : Always remember to haggle for a cheaper price!
Tickets for entering the park was Rp. 150,000/adult and another Rp. 15,000 for the car.
This animal is the scariest ever given that we didn't wind down our windows for the tigers, lions, cheetahs, etc. Shoving their horns into our car while we were feeding them. Them horns be banging on the car...
One thing I love about Indonesia's Taman Safari is that we get to be up close and personal with the animals! We get to drive our own car with all sorts of animals along the way for us to pet and feed.
Deers! So graceful!
*Munches*
Not sure of the name of this animal
The Puma
Omnom
The zebras were really naughty! Most of our carrots were finished by them, and also, they have really soft fur :3
Derp llama
"Gimme ma carrot"
Giraffe looking all sad and ish.
Camels
White Rhino
This one is endangered, so we weren't allowed to touch them.
Mountain Goats
Almost lifeless crocodiles
The crocodiles were placed near to the hippos and some deers (?). I'm surprised that the crocodiles weren't interested in eating them....
Bears behind some wire fences. Resembling the one from brother bear *cues emotional song*
Orang Utans
There were way more species of animals in the Safari park but I didn't take pictures of all of them. Also, due to time constraint, we didn't get to visit all the attractions - no komodo dragons and penguins for us.
It was also raining by the end of our car ride. Watched the sea lion show (Christine said Running Man came here too) and it was really entertaining!
When the rain subsided a little, we went to visit the baby petting zoo.
Replica of Taj Mahal
Not so baby 8 months old lion
Sea otter
Took a picture with the cute little Orang Utan called Juna. It was really friendly but it's hair was so rough and thick - it was a slight struggle to carry it.

Kangaroos!
The Kangaroos were literally a few centimetres away from me! Didn't know that there were Kangaroos in Taman Safari!
My fave pic during the trip :3
There were also elephant rides (which I really looked forward to), camel rides and horse rides! But because it was raining, we didn't do it. Left Taman Safari at around 4:30 p.m - park closes at 5 and headed to Monarchy in Bogor for dinner!
Heart Attack Burger and Banana Smoothie
Followed by some drinks and desserts at Two Stories.
Well that's it to the post! Thanks for joining in for a day with me! Till next time :)
